Week 8 Blog Post - Night Fever by The Bee Gees
The whole 70's era of music is one of my personal favorite times in music history and the Bee Gees are one of the more prominent artists of the 70's. They're also one my all-time favorite artists. This song is one of their more well-known songs. They're one of the few artists that can pull off a falsetto in every song they drop. I also just love how they're able to harmonize! You can tell that these brothers have been harmonizing for a long time. They actually were tasked to write this and a couple other songs for the movie "Saturday Night Fever" starring John Travolta. It was based on a hit film theme song called A Summer Place. The writers of the I also love the mix of instruments they have in the song. I was able to pick out a few; a wah-wah guitar pedal guitar, an electric guitar, violins, keyboard, and drums. It all comes together so perfectly to give a groovy, funky, disco type of vibe. Certified 70's club banger for sure. It would've been super cool to have gone to a disco in the 70's and I feel like this song kinda takes you there.
